Southwind Plantation is very proud of our state of the art kennels that can accommodate 80 dogs. We have 75 dogs that consist of English Pointers, English Setters, Luellen Setters, German Short hair Pointers, English Cocker Spaniels, Brittany Spaniels, and Labs. Watching our dogs hunt through the beautiful South Georgia woods makes for a very memorable hunting trip. Our dogs come from championship bloodlines, that our veteran guide and trainer G.J. Kimbrell maintains year round with his 25 years of experience.
At Southwind we believe that the guide is also an essential ingredient for the hunt of a lifetime. Each guide must complete a rigorous training program and be approved by G.J. before they are allowed to represent our plantation.
