SouthWind Plantation is proud to offer Smith Station. An 11,000 square foot facility featuring, The Great Room, The Spa, The Observatory, and our 5,800 square foot Hunters Rest Outdoor Pavilion. Smith Station offers Wi-Fi and 10 wall mounted flat screen televisions, as well as a state-of-the-art sound system. Smith Station is the perfect atmosphere for corporate meetings, wedding receptions, private dining, holiday parties, as well as other events.
The Great Room
The Great Room offers seating for 24 to 30 guests, creating a unique dining experience. Start your evening with cocktails from the bar and enjoy good conversation in our plush and comfortable seating area. This room has a relaxed atmosphere, which will make it the perfect setting for any event. The Great Room features 3 flat screen televisions that can be used for viewing videos, PowerPoint presentations or just simply to watch a football game with some of your closest friends. If your group needs extra space, this room flows right into our Observatory.
The Observatory
The Observatory overlooking our 20 acre pond, offers a spectacular panoramic view of our plantation. The perfect place to cap off your evening with an after dinner cocktail in front of a crackling fire in our oversized stack stone fireplace. The Observatory is a multi-purpose room with tables for dining, two comfortable seating areas, a computer desk, and 2 flat screen televisions. This room is a great extension of The Great Room if more space is needed to accommodate your group.
The Hunters Rest Outdoor Pavilion
If an outdoor event is what you are looking for, we have the perfect solution. The Hunters Rest Outdoor Pavilion is 5,800 square feet of beautiful outdoor space that can accommodate up to 250 guests. Relax at our outdoor bar with a few of your closest friends or cast a line in our sprawling 20 acre pond to catch a large mouth bass right off the deck. The pavilion also offers the perfect set up for serving dinner outside while you watch the sunset. If you are looking to host a large party or event; the pavilion offers 400 square feet of covered space for a band as well as Bluetooth capabilities to our outdoor sound system. We also offer the option of a 30 x 60 foot tent that can be placed on the deck area if covering is needed for your event (extra fees apply).
